Rand, Israel & Greenspan

Ayn Rand was born Alisa Zinov'yevna Rosenbaum in St. Petersburg, Russia, in 1905.  

Rand became influential in America in the 1950’s. As it happens, Alan Greenspan, the man who managed to dismantle America’s economy was one of her followers. Greenspan began his association with the famed novelist and philosopher in the 1950’s. It lasted until her death in 1982. Rand stood beside Greenspan at his 1974 swearing-in as Chair of the Council Of Economic Advisers.
